ABOUT US

Parties should feel easy

We started My Easy Party so that finding the right local vendor takes one afternoon instead of a month of unanswered phone calls.

The first party any of us planned properly was a first birthday, and it went the way most of them go. A shortlist copied out of a group chat. Three bakers who never wrote back. A caterer who quoted a number over the phone and a different number in writing. By the time the cake arrived, the host had spent so long organising the day that she barely sat down at it.

That is the problem we set out to solve. Not the celebration itself — people are already very good at that — but the tedious middle part, where you are trying to work out who is available, who is any good, and who will actually reply.

Why we started

Good local vendors are rarely the ones with the biggest marketing budgets. They are the baker working out of a shared commercial kitchen, the balloon stylist who books out by word of mouth, the caterer whose whole business runs on repeat family orders. They are excellent and they are hard to find, because nothing about the way they work is designed to be searched.

So we built the directory we wanted as hosts. Every listing shows what the vendor actually does, what they charge for, the dietary needs they can accommodate, and photographs of real work rather than stock imagery. When you send a request, it goes to a real inbox someone reads.

The best parties are not the most expensive ones. They are the ones where the host got to sit down and eat.

How we vet vendors

Every vendor who applies is reviewed by a person before their listing goes live. We check that the business is real and reachable, that the photographs are their own work, that food listings declare allergens plainly, and that the service area and pricing on the page match what the vendor tells a customer on the phone.

Caption slot — describe the moment and credit the photographer.

Listings that go quiet get removed. A directory is only useful if the people in it answer, so responsiveness matters as much as talent, and we would rather show you a shorter list you can trust than a long one you have to sort through yourself.

What we are working on

We are adding cities one at a time, because a marketplace that is thin in a neighbourhood is worse than no marketplace at all. If your city is not live yet, tell us — and if you run a party business, we would like to meet you.
